Director

Bear Midkiff
Prior to founding MCS, Director Bear Midkiff was the first dedicated Chief Military Commercial Officer for the U.S. Embassy in the Czech Republic. His background and close relationships with the major military companies, both U.S. and European, compliment his experience in Security Assistance and brokering of defense systems. As a military industrial specialist, Mr. Midkiff consulted with the Czech Government in developing the offset legislation currently in place. Additionally, he conducted the industrial survey of the Czech military industrial base, the first such project undertaken by a foreigner.

Mr. Midkiff holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Tampa and a Masters Degree from the Czech Military Academy in Brno. He served as an attack helicopter pilot in the United States Army for over 12 years, serving in both peace time and combat environments. His combat service includes Honduras/Nicaragua; The Persian Gulf and most recently Kosovo. Mr. Midkiff's native language is English and he speaks Czech, Slovak and elementary German.
